The Summer/Fall trivia season is about half over for Sporcle Live league play, and another season is done for the My Trivia Live league.

My team has played every week in the Sporcle Live league. We play a Music Quiz game every Monday at Arbor Brewing Company Microbrewery, and very occasionally play another Sporcle Live game someplace else during the week.

I don’t have many players anymore, and Sporcle Live games kind of require an army for us to be successful. There are too many knowledge areas to cover, too many questions favoring younger humans’ knowledge areas, too many and questions requiring a “sports expert,” etc.

If I only have a couple of players available, it’s very likely I’ll choose to bring a smaller team out for a My Trivia Live game instead. We have a better chance of success.

This season, we’ve only played at two other Sporcle Live spots – Aubree’s in Ypsilanti Township and Original Gravity Brewing Company. We played one general knowledge trivia game at Arbor Brewing when I had four players available.

I’m hoping to play at OG one more time before colder weather begins, but that doesn’t look likely 😢

We’re currently at the top of the leaderboard for our music quiz pursuits, but we don’t expect to stay there. But that’s OK, because a non competitive trivia scene would be superboring to us 😁

We played occasional games this past season in the My Trivia Live league as well. We played eight of the 21 games at McShane’s Pub in Ypsilanti, and a couple of My Music Quiz games at New Jester’s in Flint.

We played one game at Zukey Lake Tavern in Lakeland. Ugh never AGAIN. That place is too huge, it’s impossible to catch cheaters, unless you happen to be sitting by one, like we unfortunately were 😢

Should there be a semifinal spot open for us in the MTL league this season, I wouldn’t say no to trying to hustle a team for it.

But if I don’t have enough players to meet the four player max, my husband and I just might try playing on our own anyway! He does prefer MTL games to Sporcle Live games.
