I RSVPd my team for a Globe Games spot in Michigan today.

I’ll have four players this time unless I manage to hustle a fifth. We’ll have an equal mix of men and women players. All have played tournament level trivia before.

We’re playing on Sunday, June 21. Those are all of the details I’m revealing here. Any other details will be revealed after we play the damn game!

We did not “officially” play any Globe Games a year ago. We were on a poorly planned camping trip “Up North.” We signed up for a virtual game, bit we didn’t realize that the virtual games were two hours long (most virtual games are only one hour long). We’d made plans to meet with a family member after our game, so we had to bug out earlier than we’d planned.

That and the “technical difficulties” we encountered! Though we’d played virtual trivia games dozens of times before, we’d never tried playing one entirely with mobile devices before. So many issues with background noise, glare, etc.

The one thing we’d done right is pick a spot in Northport, MI with absolutely perfect free 5G WiFi!

New Bohemian Cafe (no, Edie Brickell didn’t seem to be there). We were able to download the latest version of Zoom before the game started!

I’ll certainly remember that the  next time we’re in the area 😁
