Having Trouble Falling to Sleep? Try This!

I bought a 12 pack of this at a new fancy grocery store that recently opened nearby (Harvest Market, Ann Arbor MI).

I stopped drinking a little more than six months ago. Since that time, I’ve developed a sparkling water addiction, and have also started experimenting with NA beers and zero proof “hop waters.”

This is the fourth such hop water that I’ve tried. The first was Arbor Brewing Company’s house made “hop soda,” the second was Shorts’ Thirst Mutilator, and the third was Founder’s Brewing Co’s canned hop water.

The Lagunitas’ “Hoppy Refersher” started making me feel like nodding off after having just one! A delightful, yet healthy drowsiness likely brought on by the combination of hops.

It’s good to know that these help make me drowsy so I can use them for “bedtime drinks.” For socializing with friends, I’ll stick with the Shorts’ Thirst Mutilator. They help induce a bit of drowsiness too, but not like Lagunitas’.

We all know most of the really good sleep aids out there are bad for you. Addictive, possibility of death or unconsciousness if taking too much, etc. Just ask Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe or Jimi Hendrix about those dangers. Wait – you can’t! 😲

I’ve heard that hops can help induce sleep, but usually people consume them when they’re drinking beer. The alcoholic kind. I guess there is a way to reap those benefits of hops without making you fall off the wagon! I’m all in for this 👍

In Lagunitas’ hop water, the company web site says the hops used in this are citra, equinox and centennial. I’m not a beer brewer or beer nerd, but I have heard of two of these (citra and centennial).

Knowing that these help me nod off faster just might make me a regular customer! 💤😴
