Our “Spray Ground” Is Open For Business!

It was time to…ahem – “water” the back yard today, so we decided to set up our own little “spray ground” as a means of helping to beat the heat in our semi-private back yard today. We have a multi-headed sprinkler system, so we set one up on our “Festivus Pole,” which provided a spray one could stand under – and set another on a patio chair, which allowed us to cool our lower extremities.

I may have made some slightly inappropriate joyous noises while I was cooling off! Can’t do THAT at  a public pool in front of the kiddos! 🙂 I was even singing some lyrics from Belinda Carlisle’s “Heaven is a Place on Earth.” Oh yeah…that water was BRISK, baby!

I wasn’t the only one enjoying the cool water! A little white butterfly was definitely getting into the water spray on purpose. Who doesn’t like a spray of cool water on a hot day?

We don’t have a lot of options for cooling off besides just sitting in our house using the central air #boring. Because of the ongoing plague, public pools are “reservation only” in my town right now, and I have no idea if the local water park is open. And I have no plans to go to any places so “public” anytime soon anyway!

It was quite…joyous – to be able to cool off under the super cool water! I used our new hedge clippers beforehand to trim the jungle between our condo and our neighbor’s, so that little bit of exercise made it all the nicer to cool off afterward!

Sorry, no pics of me having fun in the water! Not ready for any “swimsuit edition” pictures yet (also couldn’t find my favorite black swimming top). Here’s an old pic of me in my swimsuit…
