Seven Songs/Soundtracks I Fell In Love With While Watching Stuff
Here’s a short list of songs and soundtracks that won me over at the first listen when I heard them used in movies and TV series/shows.
🎵 🎶 The Daily Mail, Radiohead, Ozark, (2017-2022). Haunting song that builds…and explodes. Didn’t care for the series, but love this song.🎵 🎶 Give it Up, KC and the Sunshine Band, Kingsmen The Secret Service (2014). Disco’s last gasp from 1983!😁🎶🎵 Every 1’s A Winner Hot Chocolate, Detroit Rock City (1998). You Sexy Thing’s darker, funkier cousin – pure baby making power! 😉
🎵🎶 Dry The Rain, The Beta Band, High Fidelity (2000). Never fails to lift me up, nice story and skillful guitar that will make any aspiring player want to finally master barre chords 🎸🎶
🎵🎶 The Dead Dance, Lady Gaga, Wednesday (2022-?). Lady Gaga – need I say more – it’s dark, sexy and so, so catchy…
🎵🎶 The Dream, Jerry Goldsmith, Total Recall (1990). Nice tribute to Basil Poledouris 🪦 Entire soundtrack, Michael Nyman/Damon Albarn, Ravenous (1999). This whole soundtrack is like a hellish gallop through Appalachia, and tells the story of this dark comedy so, so well.
