About six months ago or so, when the state of Michigan was in the midst of an unusually brutally cold winter… ❄️ 🥶

I’ve already checked off a couple of those goals, which I accomplished in early May, 2026; when my husband and I did a cabin trip at Hartwick Pines State Park.

We camped during a full moon, and camped where we’d never camped before.

Coming up in August, we’ll be tent camping at Holly Recreation Area, which we have never done at this park before! We have done three cabin trips here in the past three years.

A friend of mine will be visiting her dad during the month of August, and having a camp site close to where she’ll be will be fun! My husband and I have wanted to do a tent trip here for quite a while, so it will check off another recreation goal on my check list!

We’ll be doing a cabin trip at a park we’ve visited multiple times very soon. It doesn’t really check anything off my recreation checklist, except we’ve never done a summer cabin trip at this place.

Weather should be fantastic! 😍
