We called off our Tuesday trivia game last night. It was a combination of reasons – my recent work schedule shift putting me on later shifts Tuesdays, and also a death. Poor Brad had to say the long goodbye to one of his beloved  Scottish deerhounds, Yara. I think this one was part of the Game of Thrones litter (I’m not into that show).

So we (my husband and I) decided to just call off the game too. It’s more fun when we can all be there. Also it was humid AF and I just didn’t feel like going out after getting home from work 😩

We may go out for a game Thursday night instead. Thursdays have opened up for me more lately for trivia.

It’s all part of my “let trivia revolve around my life” philosophy. Which is different from the “let my life revolve around trivia” philosophy that I used to follow as religiously as someone in a scary doomsday cult  back in the day😂

Did anyone else follow the Heaven’s Gate cult stories with as much gusto as I did back in 1997? It helped that I worked at a newspaper with access to Associated Press wire stories at the time! I was able to read all of the wire stories in between my own job tasks! 🍿

We all have a “type” when it comes to news stories that we like to devour, don’t we? 🤔

It’s TBD whether we’ll be able to play our music quiz game next Monday (Memorial Day).  If anyone manages to make it out, it will be just me.

But we’re going to be coming back from visiting my mother-in-law, so we’ll see if we make it back on time. 

Two more weeks remain in the Sporcle Events season! Let’s see how this story shakes out for my team!
