I had to bail on my music quiz team last night because of a very poorly timed migraine 😞
I only get maybe two of these a decade, so that’s a good thing!
It wasn’t really horrible as far as migraines go, but I knew that going to a game with loud music – coupled with from what I hear was a “screeching kid” – that it was probably best that I stayed home!
My team did pretty well in my absence, so I’m pretty happy about that! 😀
They finished second overall behind a non league team with 142 points and I e first place prize (they got both final questions correct).
Now, only four Globe Points divide our team and the top dogs Armless Chairs AKA Party Sharks. AKA the team with the “screeching kid” 😂
I joked with my teammate Kim about organizing a crowd funding campaign to pay for a sitter for that team on trivia nights! I know they would turn it down.
Ugh…parents these days thinking that it’s a good idea to take babies to noisy bars. 😩 I just don’t get it. The parents can’t be enjoying themselves, the kid isn’t enjoying itself and others are definitely not enjoying it either. Why do it? 🤔
Usually that kid is pretty chill, but lately she’s just not having it. Maybe she’s teething? Would a creamy shot of a high ABV stout help with that? 🍺
Didn’t parents used to do stuff like this in days of auld when their babies were teething? Ah what would I know?
We now have seven more games to try changing our standings on the leaderboard (hopefully for the better)!
Tonight, we’ll try continuing our climb up the leaderboard at Red Rock Barbecue. I think we’re in fourth now (we did start the season late).
That’s all I have to report for now.
