Even though we missed yet another final trivia question in a recent virtual game, we could not have been happier with our virtual host Todd for making an executive decision and deciding that the players had to name three things instead of two things for the question. We did not wager in the category of “TV coaches,” and would not have known the answer anyway. But in a game with two teams posting perfect scores going into the final and three teams tied for second – why not test the mettle of the players a bit more?
Of course we don’t want to believe that other teams competing virtually could possibly be cheating by looking up answers to the questions. But I remember when (here’s my Pepperidge Farm moment) perfect trivia games were a rare thing back when they were all done in person. With no one to see you using Google, Bing, askjeeves or your local friendly reference librarian, then why not just cheat for the answer? I see perfect trivia games FAR too often in the virtual games to not think shenanigans are afoot. I’ve looked at scores of the really good trivia teams playing in pubs right now and I am not seeing a lot of perfect scores. There…I said it.
Seriously, why would it be worth it when there is absolutely nothing to gain (no prizes)?
Now that I’ve climbed off my soapbox with creaky knees and ankles, how about some trivia questions?

Mystery Two
NFL Draft Pick ’Em
Among the following list of seven schools, choose the four that had the most players selected in the 2022 NFL Draft. All four of the correct answers had at least eight players selected. Teams will receive two points for each correct answer.
Baylor
Ohio State
Georgia
LSU
Cincinnati
Texas A&M
Penn State
We got two of these correct. We were in 10th out of 12 teams going into the final with 47 points.
Final Category – TV Coaches
Camila Cabello will serve as a full-time coach on The Voice for the first time during the upcoming 22nd season.
Six other people have served as a full-time coach for two seasons or fewer. Name three of those six people.
(Note: This only counts seasons as a full-time coach, not as a part-time coach or advisor).
And with that, both of the “perfect” teams went down…we managed to move up to fourth by wagering zero.
As always, Go Pods, and stay classy, if you’re one of those trivia teams that cheats to get the correct answers (boo)!
