Though me and my trivia team members are only doing “virtual” trivia games these days, I’m still doing my best to monitor the goings on in the two trivia leagues in which my team used to play, including Sporcle Live – and My Trivia Live. I’ve decided to hold off on visiting any bars or restaurants for indoor service for the forseeable future, which includes – sadly – trivia nights.

Tonight, me and a few others will be meeting up “remotely” for an ’80s movie themed trivia game. One of my favorite trivia topics – a topic which I can claim a certain amount of expertise! My brother will also be among the players in this game – which will be a fun way to reminisce about some of the movies we watched together in the 1980s.

It appears that a few Sporcle Live spots are opening back up for players, or may be opening soon. One such spot that is supposed to open back up Wednesday, July 15 is The Owl, which is a spot my team played occasionally (especially in the warmer months). We liked the laid-back friendly vibe of the place – and the friendly employees there, the decent beer choices (always reasonably priced) and liked that we won just enough to make it worth our while, but not enough to make us wear out our welcome! I’ll be very curious to find out how trivia nights go in this spot, though not curious to actually go and see for myself…yet!
