My husband isn’t perfect by any means (none of us are)…but every now and then he does these wonderful “little” things to let me know how much he really, really cares for me – and looks out for me! It’s not buying flowers, or candy, or buying me something autographed by Pee Wee Herman (aka Paul Reubens) – or a special private performance by Steve Martin…playing banjo. Of course you knew Steve Martin was a banjo virtuoso, didn’t you?
Today, I got home from work, and he said, “I’ll bet you didn’t even notice what I did.”
Noting my slack-jawed blank look, he said – “I cleaned up the garage.” I hadn’t been in the garage for a few days, so no – I didn’t see the garage. Dude!
Apparently, he eyeballed the upcoming weather forecast and made sure our “one-hole” garage is clear for me to park in if needed. We tend to kind of “use up” the space usually occupied by the one car that will fit in there during the warmer months.
Sometimes he’ll run out and gas up the car when it’s freezing cold – so I don’t have to do it on my way to work.
Who says my husband is an “unsung hero?” I’m singing his praises right here!
