My Team’s Take – Same Game At Crow’s Nest (December, 2012)

Editor’s note: I recently “raided” a rival trivia team’s Facebook page in search of a post about a game we played against them at the Crow’s Nest in December, 2012. I have also searched the “archives” of my own trivia team’s Facebook page and have found these two posts, referencing the same game. At the time, we were in the midst of doing a “blitz” where were were trying to visit 30 different trivia nights/spots before the end of the 2012 calendar year. We wound up accomplishing that “goal” and getting personalized hoodies, but it was a push right until the very end – as we had to battle a snowstorm driving home with our prized hoodies!

Let’s see if we can go five for five. Fifth consecutive Great Lakes Trivia – Detroit at Crow’s Nest Bar and Grill. So far this week we have managed to snag at least one first and or second place prize per night. We held our own in (and in some cases, dominated) venues with tough league teams including Blimpkin, Barack Obama Zombie Hunter, Polish Mafia, Jill and The Uncle Toms and Tanooki Suits, just to name a few. The always formidable team More Beer Less Pants (Battle of the Brains winners) will certainly challenge us heartily tonight, but we wouldn’t have our trivia any other way! Go Pods!

Achieved our Great Lakes Trivia – Detroit goal of five (wins) for five (nights) at The Crow’s Nest last night with one first place in game one. Had a hot and cold night overall with 62 points in game 1 and 40 points in game two. Blew game two final question about highest military spending countries in the world besides the U.S. Lots of great league teams there, congrats to More Beer Less Pants for winning game 2 and to William Shatner Face for their awesome game 2. Other league teams in contention included Gentlemen Kangaroos (been seeing them around a lot, they are kicking lots of ass this season and waging quite the trivia ground war), Tiger Blood, Huff in My Muff and others (forgive us for not recalling all of them). Nice competitive night out, but we’re exhausted and taking a brief break from trivia. Go Pods!
