A new decree for my trivia team…

zerowagersmeme.jpg

I’ve just decided that our trivia team has a new rule…NO more zero wagers on final trivia questions unless I say so! I know they’re going to accuse me of being a dictator, just a few weeks ago Dave used the word “Stalin” to describe something I did (overruled them on a wager about car slogans). What I really want – and it’s not to be a giant dick – but what I really want to do is give them some f—ing confidence! I think my teammates are smarter than they give themselves credit for!  I also think we’ve gotten better at answering final questions correctly, and wagering at least SOMETHING on them ensures that we have to work at it a bit! We answered TWO tournament final questions about TV correctly in August, 2017- and December, 2017!  I told them I will “take the blame or the praise” for all final question wagering from now on.

I do not want to have to pry an answer slip out of my husband’s hand again – and walk with him up to the host to make sure he didn’t change the wager back to zero!

You can have my trivia wager slip when you pry it out of my cold, dead hands!

A LITTLE bit of drama with my teammates about answers is par for the course! We’re a passionate bunch, for sure! But I don’t want any trivia hosts to have to call the cops because of a domestic disturbance, lol!

  1. The no zero wagers rule only applies to Sporcle final questions. Not MTL final questions, which you get to hear before wagering. And sometimes the only way to escape with a prize in those games is to wager zero! Some exceptions to this rule will include obscure categories such as Prussian filmmakers, 18th century comedians, famous moonshiners, Famous Dada painters, etc…
