We made our annual “pilgrimage” to Original Gravity Brewing Company for its trivia night on a recent “mild” Thursday evening.

We try to play here once or twice a year. Though we, I mean mostly “me” used to play here more regularly back in the old “barhop” days. Anyone else remember those? Such craziness 😆 The things we did to avoid playing semifinal games 🤔

We were hoping that it would be a LITTLE cooler, yet there we were outside in the bar’s warm beer garden. It wasn’t TOO bad, really!

You could also use the words “Not too bad, really” to describe our game – no prizes, finished seventh overall. 🥱

Game one was particularly rough for us! You know we were not having a good time when we flunked out on an 80s movies final question! 😳 Silly me for thinking that one of the correct ones suggested was too “edgy” to be on the highbrow American Film Institute best comedy list.

I’ll have to kick myself off my trivia team now for having not listening to Dave’s correct suggestion. Pardon me while I engage in self flagellation and self inflicted waterboarding!

We were in 13th heading into the final out of 17 teams. Yeah, it was a rough game one for us (game two will be better). “Bouncing Bonjour Boys” (obvious alias we do the same switcheroo every Monday when we play music quiz 😉) was in third with 49, Josh Pit was in second with 50 and non league team

“solo” was in first with 51.

We played this game outdoors without seeing this on a big screen, otherwise I’d have taken a picture of this for you all.

This was a bunch of images of different American cities, we had to name the cities, all of which can stand alone in news stories (which means you don’t have to also name the state that they’re in). If this weren’t a visual round and just a “is it or isn’t it” type of thing we would have done really well because of me having worked in the news biz in the past. But there we were, we only got one of these correct. 😩
