We’ve been doing Sporcle Events music quiz games every Monday at Arbor Brewing Company in Ypsilanti. But aside from those, we still haven’t really found another weekly trivia spot.
And that’s OK! It’s summer, there are other things happening in our lives (like buying a new to us car), visits with family, countless memorial services for deceased family members, etc.
My work schedule has put the kebosh on Tuesday trivia nights. We’d been playing Tuesdays at Red Rock Barbecue last season, but we had to put those on hold.
Wednesdays and Thursdays occasionally work out better for trivia, so I’ll try to work those in when I can.
The music quiz nights are fun, but my real passion is the good old-fashioned general knowledge trivia. I can’t completely satisfy my addiction to trivia on Sporcle’s music quiz nights!
For one, the recaps are too time consuming and difficult to put together. I can’t simply recreate questions easily when they are based on all audio clues. I like writing the trivia recaps, so that means I need to find excuses to do them!
Also I don’t feel I contribute enough to answering the music quiz questions. If the music was recorded less then 30-40 years ago, I’m usually a “nope” on knowing answers about it!
It’s been great having the children of a couple of our team members show up on music trivia nights to help us out! Who says children aren’t good for something?
Rest assured, you fellow trivia junkies (I know who some of you are), I’ll find a way to work “regular” trivia nights into my summer routine so I can keep the trivia recaps posted here!
