Got Our New Wheels Today 😃 ðŸš—

2025 Subaru Legacy, 10K miles, premium trim. Lots of bells and whistles!

We visited three different car dealerships today. Two had sales people who tried to sell us a new car when we wanted used. One practically tried to strong arm us into buying a car we didn’t want or love. Even suggested a lease (oh the humanity 😜).

Mike didn’t like the display screen and I didn’t like the smell – I could tell the car we drove belonged to a smoker. I also didn’t like that I couldn’t easily pair my music USB drive to the entertainment system. Not intuitive at all.

My husband and I can be extremely stubborn! Woe to anyone trying to talk us into doing something that we don’t want to do 😂

We were almost ready to give up. But we went to the last dealership of the day – a Toyota dealership in Dundee, Michigan –  with zero expectations about whether we’d actually end the day with a car or not.

Then the suggestion came organically just in casual conversation…

There were not one but two Subaru Legacy sedans among their used inventory. Me not being familiar with every Subaru model, I asked what body style it was.

“Sedan,” the sales manager said.

My husband and I were looking for that body style in particular, so we took not one – but both of them for a test drive. One was a former rental car, the other a former lease. We liked the former rental car better.

We knew it was the right car when we were driving it. Even the touchscreen interface was better. More than ample leg room, head room and trunk space. All wheel drive. Lots of luxury features, including a kick-ass music system and heated seats!

After last winter, heated seats will be wonderful! 😊

I really liked the vibe of the Dundee car emporium. Friendly, laid-back, no high pressure tactics. We weren’t talked into buying anything we didn’t want.

Sarah Silverman

Our sales lady even sounded like comedian Sarah Silverman when she talked!

Now…to get to know our car! 💯
