We’ll be putting our thing down in the usual fashion next week. Music Quiz Monday at Corner Brewery, general knowledge trivia Tuesday at Red Rock Barbecue.

Since I work an earlier shift than usual Thursday, I may go out for a game that night. That is TBD.

So… what’s this “bare minimum” stuff I’m talking about?

Uh, that would be us (hopefully) playing the bare minimum number of games at Red Rock to qualify for a spot at the end of Sporcle Globe Games season. Do we “need” to do it? Nope! I just want to make another notch on my trivia “bedpost.” Check off another local trivia spot that me and my team have conquered in some fashion.

I’ve already…been around the trivia block, as it were 😉 Corner Brewery, Ypsialehouse, The Wurst Bar, Powell’s Pub, Tower Inn, McShane’s Pub, Original Gravity, ABC  Brewpub (Ann Arbor)…

I never managed to be able to check off Maiz while they offered trivia nights, And we’ve never played regularly enough at Sticks to claim that as a spot either.

Why do I do this silly, pointless pursuit of checking off trivia spots? As Edmund Hillary said of Mount Everest…

Because…the trivia spots are…there!

I’ve never offered any apologies for doing whatever it takes for trivia dominance. And I don’t plan to ever start doing that!

I’m just happy to have “finally” found a good spot for all three of us “stooges” to play our trivia games. It’s great having Brad back in the trivia saddle again! Even more great that we don’t have to play at the Ypsialehouse. I am… not impressed with the current host. Judging from the lower number of teams playing there compared to before with the previous host, we might not be the only ones.
