We’ve finished the first two months of 2026! It really does feel like a monumental accomplishment considering the brutal weather and things going on in the world politically 😩 ❄️🥶

We haven’t changed our trivia routine much since 2025. We still continue to play weekly Sporcle Events music quiz games. 

We also occasionally play general knowledge trivia games at either other Sporcle Events or My Trivia Live spots in the area.

Big news for our team, we managed to log a 73 point score in a MTL game on Thursday, January 2. I can’t technically call it a true perfect game since we did not get the final question correct. It was the first time we’d ever had no misses in the regular rounds or halftime round. First time for us!

So far we’ve played 13 total trivia games. Seven games at the Corner Brewery on Ypsilanti, four games at McShane’s Pub in Ypsi, and two games at Oscar’s in Saline.

We’ve won $110 in prizes so far.

The 29-week MTL season is winding down, and a new season begins in mid April. I still don’t know whether we’ll try making a bid for the end of season tournament again this year – or not.

I do kind of prefer not being tied to weekly games, even though the weekly Sporcle Events music games are quite fun! They really don’t feel like a “chore.”

I’ll need to talk to the players I have available to me – and see the dates for the end of season games for MTL before I can make my decision.

I’d also like to know where the finals will be staged, although I know that is never announced right away.

As for tonight, we’ll see how I feel about music quiz when it’s just my husband and I battling the questions 😭
