OK, admittedly I’m just now starting to come down from a whirlwind weekend of grieving a beloved person who died (my father in law, may he rest in peace) – and a very comforting experience of seeing family members I love whom I haven’t seen in years.

Since I can’t totally ignore other global events, here I go with my lame attempt at suggesting songs for an “Eclipse Playlist.” First off? Whole album – Dark Side of the Moon, Pink Floyd. Why? It’s one of the greatest albums ever recorded, and has a track called “Eclipse,” so there’s that. Secondly, Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler – it’s supposedly about vampires, and has the word “eclipse” in it, so…why not?

Thirdly, how about Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden. Why? Because it rocks, and has the word “sun” in it. Also Chris Cornell was a fantastic singer…(and kind of cute)!

Fourthly, i guess I’ll suggest Sundown by GordOohOohon Lightfoot. He died fairly recently, it would be a nice tribute, and I have lots of death on my mind right now.

Ooh..number five? Ain’t No Sunshine, Bill Withers. He’s just a fantastic soul singer so you should need no excuse to check out his discography- even if you’re not trying to make a baby!

Sixth, Steal My Sunshine by Len. Because it’s boppy and fun, and mentions sunshine.

However you decide to celebrate this solar event, be sure to have glasses that actually work – and a soundtrack that slaps!
