Trivia Recap- Game # 816 – March 17, 2024 – YpsiAlehouse, Ypsilanti, MI – Live Sporcle Events Game

We played our tenth pub trivia game of 2024 on St. Patrick’s Day, and all three of our players wore actual shades of green to the game! One of our players, Brad, even wore “that” outfit that he only wears on this day, which is his leprechaun outfit! Did either of these things give us the luck we desperately needed to get the final questions correct?

We should be getting used to these trivia night disappointments by now, right? 🙄

With my husband having a new job, weather getting warmer and me occasionally working Saturdays, this could mean that Sunday games may not happen every week. The 5 pm Sunday game start times are a bit early and can kind of cut into our day a bit, especially for a couple of folks whom aren’t keen on early rising on weekends! Combine those things with the numerous things generally annoying us about the trivia spot (not going into details here) and well…

Yes, we know there is no such thing as a “perfect” trivia spot, but let’s just say we’re going into a bit of a more “barhopping” mode for trivia going into spring and summer. I’m especially keeping an eye on a previous place we played a few years ago that will soon be offering trivia again. We played there for a few years on a part-time basis, but it stopped offering trivia nights before the pandemic hit the planet. We didn’t play there enough to get bored with it, had reasonable success playing there, had players besides Mike and I willing to come out there, and it was just competitive enough to keep us interested.

Plus, there are some other local spots we can hit up, too. We’ll see where the trivial winds take us! A friend and I are even talking about doing music trivia games together again. I’ve always enjoyed exploring the trivial seas, and it’s definitely made things seem more adventurous!

Where’s me pirate Cap’n hat and blunderbuss?

I wish we’d had just another minute for this question, because the correct 1978 song’s melody had just entered my head! Damn it….argh. Had this been an audio question I would have been all over it!

Missed #2. I felt like I deserved a sticker for remembering the name for #4, knowing how to spell it correctly, AND how to pronounce it!

I loved her in The Lovely Bones (even if the film adaptation from the book wasn’t the best), and also in Hanna.

We were in fifth place with 49 points going into the final.

Category – Folklore

According to folk tradition, each leaf of a four leaf clover symbolizes a different attribute, one of which is luck. Name one of the other three things symbolized by the leaves of a four leaf clover.

Yeah luck wasn’t on our side here…

Unsure when/where we’ll play next, I’m trying not to make any plans during my husband’s first week in a new job. As always, Go Pods, and stay classy, that high talking actor from Always Sunny!
