I’ve started working on my annual “birthday trivia questions.” The tradition began with a live gathering of friends and trivia acquaintances in 2016 at a local watering hole. I totally stole the idea from my now dearly departed friend Archie, who quizzed his friends in his home a few years earlier on his “pet” trivia topics. I would in turn employ Archie to be the MC and ask the questions I’d written at two gatherings in 2016 and 2017. I always got a smile on my face when he would be forced to read questions that included profane movie quotes, which is still a category I include in every birthday question set.

These questions will be released in about 16 days. As a little hint for you, find out the names of two parts commonly found in table lamps. I was inspired to do this question after spending a couple of hours putting together lamps at my job! Hey, inspiration can be found in the most unexpected places, can’t it?

I don’t know if I’ll attempt to do a live birthday trivia gathering again. It would not be the same without Archie! Virtual gatherings? Maybe!
