Trivia Recap – Game # 717 – September 9, 2022 – Virtual Sporcle “Pub Quiz” Format

Note: This will be an abbreviated recap as the trivia host’s Zoom settings did not allow questions to be “grabbed” from the chat…

Interesting that a silly blog https://wordpress.com/post/hebontheweb.blog/7919 I did a few years ago about U.S. Presidents and their hair styles would help out on a mystery round!

Though a good number of U.S. Presidents sported mustaches (Grover Cleveland, William Howard Taft, and Teddy Roosevelt, to name a few) – and some sported beards – Ulysses Grant, Rutherford B. Hayes, Benjamin Harrison) – not as many had the beard and mustache “combo meal”, aka “mutton chops.” Chester Arthur was one of them. Did you know he was a total clothes horse and probably had a closet of clothes that would make Carrie from “Sex and the City” jealous? Especially if she liked 19th century men’s trousers! Speaking of clothing, president Andrew Johnson supposedly was an accomplished tailor and made many of his own suits.

Here were the mystery rounds and final question from a recent virtual trivia game September 9,. 2022:

Mystery Round One:

We got all of these correct.

Mystery Round Two:

Got all of these correct.

We were in fourth with 47 points going into the final.

Final Category – #1 Movies

Within one, in what year did all of the following sequel films spend at least one week as the #1 film at the domestic box office?
The Karate Kid Part II
Police Academy 3: Back in Training
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home

I was bummed I didn’t catch the qualifier “within one,” because I knew the year instantly and thought this made it too easy for the other teams!

We finished with 62 points. As always, Go Pods, and stay classy, Spock when you are visiting the 20th Century!
