I’m not sure exactly how this line of conversation originated in a recent virtual trivia game with my husband Mike, but for some strange reason I decided to say:
“If actor Jonah Hill is in a movie, there’s a good chance the movie is good. If Kevin Sorbo is in a movie, there is no guarantee that the movie will be good.”

We didn’t have questions involving either Jonah Hill OR Kevin Sorbo in the game! Mysteries abound, but maybe as I look back on these questions the answer will come to me! Speaking of answers, too bad the correct final question about George Washington cabinet members eluded us!!!
1 Tech – The Macintosh and PowerBook are products initially released in 1984 and 1991, respectively, by what technology company?
2 1980s Music – According to the title of a 1983 #1 single by New Order, what color is Monday?
3 World History – Which European country’s civil war lasted from July 1936-April 1939?
4 Academy Awards – Name either 21st century film for which Brad Pitt has earned a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor.
NERD POINT: Name both.
Got one, but not both. I did not correctly distinguish between whether or not the role in the incorrect movie we put down was “supporting” or “lead.” Honestly I don’t give a fuck about the difference. If the actor’s in the movie, they’re in the movie. Oh well, no nerd point.

Decipher the anagram to reveal the first and last name of a current NFL quarterback.

We got two of these correct, unsure which ones (I was not the ones submitting answers).

Mystery Two – Dogs
Among the seven groups of dogs featured at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, choose the four that have won the most Best in Show awards. Teams will receive two points for each correct answer. Herding Toy Non-sporting Sporting Terrier Hound Working
We got three of these correct.
We were in a three way tie for third with 48 points going into the final.
Final Category – Presidential History
President George Washington’s first Cabinet meeting on November 26, 1791, consisted of himself, Henry Knox, Edmund Randolph, and what two other people?
We didn’t even get ONE correct person. Guess we don’t know much about history (like that old song lyric goes).
As always, Go Pods, and stay classy, Alexander Hamilton! And huh…I still don’t know how the whole Jonah Hill/Kevin Sorbo conversation started! But if they’re ever in a movie together it will prove my whole statement incorrect!
