What I Don’t Miss About In-Person Trivia Games

I haven’t played truly competitive pub trivia for going on two years now except for a random couple of games (both of which ended up with their own disasters of sorts). And I’ve finally reached the point where I can honestly say that I don’t miss it all that much.

I know too well how much the intense competition of it all got to me. Miss a chance to go to a money tournament and it can be downright maddening, depressing, frustrating – my the whole thing could just drive someone to drink if they were so inclined.

I’m thankful I had a team use our league number and make a noble attempt today even though they did not advance. I know the pain of it all far too well. And I know there can be no consoling those truly competitive souls feeling that pain.

Nope. I don’t miss it!
