We’re in the midst of a “winter heat wave” in Michigan! Yesterday, temps hit 46 degrees Fahrenheit (7 degrees Celsius). I did some house cleaning on Tuesday and actually kept the front door open! I moved the sectional, vacuumed underneath it, vacuumed underneath the couch cushions (always an eye opening adventure) and vacuumed the couch cushions themselves. When you don’t have wall-to-wall carpet, dust and other gunk just kind of hangs around instead of getting embedded into the carpeting I also cleaned up some salty stains by the front door on the hardwood, vacuumed up the salt with the shop vac, put a lot of crap away, aired out some rugs. Very exciting, right?

When my husband finished with work, we headed to a local brewery we hadn’t visited for a while – which has a heated patio (Original Gravity Brewing Co. in Milan, MI:
