Our state’s governor extended the ban on “dining in” (and drinking in) at restaurants today, which lasts until December 20. I haven’t set foot inside a bar/restaurant for service since March, so this doesn’t affect me at all.
I did cook a kick-ass meal today, though! I followed a Food Network recipe for the roux (whisked it for about 15 minutes)! Most of the tomatoes are from my husband’s deck garden. Behold my homemade chicken gumbo soup, rice and Texas toast:
