And Now The Answer! To That TV Series/Pop Song Question From Friday…
On Friday night, I put on my “quizmistress” hat and decided to ask you all this question:
What name is shared by a sitcom TV series (and its title character) debuting in September, 1986 on ABC which ran for two seasons – and a song released in April 1986 which hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 charts a couple of months later?
And now…the answer!
David Rasche as the character “Sledge Hammer” in the series of the same name, which ran from 1986 to 1988 (I recently started watching this on Netflix’s disc service). He slept and bathed with his .44 Magnum (and frequently talked to it). This series shared its name with a hit song by Peter Gabriel:
Why don’t you call his name? This song was pretty much all about sex, as was his song “Kiss that Frog.”
