Watching Forensic  Files. Learned that a bloke named Colin Pitchfork  was the first person  to have been convicted of a crime based on DNA evidence in 1988. And this happened in (drum roll) the United Kingdom.

No, he didn’t  commit the murders  with a pitchfork!
