Trivia is on tonight at The Owl – though as of this posting, I’m unsure whether it will be just me – or me and Mike. Our normal “third man” has already said he can’t make it tonight.
I would love to be able to keep Original Gravity Thursdays as an option since I’m probably not going to have Fridays off for a while – because it’s an early game. Also, I still have a player who’s usually only available Thursdays, and likes playing there. But… it’s not exactly a Democracy on our team (Mike has said “no” to playing any more games at Original Gravity)! I have my own “things” too – (there are certain shows I won’t go near anymore just because of who hosts them). But a lady doesn’t kiss and tell!
If The Owl didn’t open up as a spot a few months ago, I probably wouldn’t be able to play in Milan at all (unless I played all of the games without Mike – which is an option, but not an easy option since we share a car). I’ve come to like this little town since I started playing here in 2016 – especially the drives along pretty Stony Creek Road. I wonder if more folks will have their Halloween decorations up when I drive into town tonight (only saw one house last week)? Some of these people go crazy with their Halloween decorations (I love it)!
To me, October truly is the “most wonderful time of the year.” Why? Because it’s not really cold yet, it’s (usually) too chilly for shorts, there are no Christmas decorations up yet (except at some stores….grrrr), there are pumpkins everywhere, and gorgeous fall colors and scary movies/shows on TV.
