I honestly don’t know why people read recaps of trivia games, let alone MY recaps of trivia games. I’ve long speculated that “sleep aid” topped people’s reasons for reading them (hey I’m happy to help). I actually had a bit of “feedback” about this recently! Evan told me recently that my trivia recaps are “great toilet reading.” I was actually kind of flattered, since “bathroom readers” are trivia books that are typically kept in bathrooms. We have one of those in our downstairs bathroom! I’m not much of a “bathroom reader,” but my husband sure is! I remember seeing a copy of Dante’s The Divine Comedy in his bathroom by the toilet before. Weird fact about our two-bedroom condo? It has 3.5 baths! Most people are jealous when I tell them this… I have my own full bathroom upstairs, he has his own full bathroom upstairs, and we have a full bathroom in the basement which is pretty much a storage room. I keep a laundry rack down there for those things I don’t want dried in the dryer. Then we have our “half bath” downstairs, which is where the “bathroom reader” lives. Behold:

Back to the subject of trivia recaps… If you like reading those, then if you visit this site, you’ll have even more of those to read in the next couple of weeks! That’s because I’ll be playing a few extra games as a means of helping a friend’s team (whom I’ll play with in the next round of tournaments) possibly advance in the “barhop” standings. Even if we don’t succeed, I’ll still be sitting with them at the semifinals game if needed.

As was predicted, my “better half”  kind of …”grumbled” about that this morning. All I had to do was mention that My Trivia Live has upped their top prize to $4,000 (an increase from $2,500) for him to… see things a bit differently! This is no guarantee he won’t continue trying to be “Mr. Grumpy” on these “extra” trivia nights, but I’ll take whatever little victories I can!

I won’t be “dragging him” to ALL of these “extra” trivia games! Plus, since we share a vehicle, me being able to “escape” to games is subject to “negotiation!” Just like everything else in a marriage…right?

One of these “extra” games will happen tonight, so look for some “toilet reading” here Wednesday morning!
