Looks like things are a go for the Miskatonic University Fighting Cephalopods to RSVP for semifinals Saturday, June 8! I’m eyeing a “local” spot to play and if we don’t get into that spot, well…we’ll take it from there! But we want to play as close to home as possible. I’m a cheap ass and don’t like to pay to park – and we have a player who doesn’t drive to games, so… the more “local,” the better!

Also, it looks like finals will be Saturday, June 15 at the Northville Sports Den. Funny, we missed a MTL finals at the Northville Sports Den in May, 2018 – but strangely enough – we were actually kind of HAPPY we had to miss it! Why? Because we had a cabin trip planned for our anniversary on that weekend – and  playing in that tournament would have cut too much into our “fun time.” And a fun time it was, but alas, I digress…

So far, I only have four confirmed players. Pretty typical for a Sporcle tournament! I almost always have to “hustle” extra players for both Sporcle AND MTL tournaments! We’ll make do with four if necessary. I’m just happy we actually have a shot, if we blow it? Well, it will be the first Sporcle league championship we’ve been shut out of since 2013! How much do we have to “prove?” Winning money in a league championship? Ha ha ha, you’re too FUNNY! We’ve done it three times… 🙂

Because of my niece’s graduation, I didn’t even think we’d be able to play these final games. But her party and commencement both occurred in May, so… that leaves June free for trivial pursuits.

Right now, I have to go on a “pursuit” for groceries, so I’ll have to close out this blog! Catch y’all on the rebound…
