I’ll be traveling to a trivia tournament approximately 45 minutes away from my home Saturday. Trivia tournaments are nothing new to me! I’ve been to probably close to 20 “finals” trivia tournaments since 2012, when I’ve played with my own trivia team.

But I’ve never played in a finals trivia tournament as a “guest” before! My husband and I played as “guests” last December, but I’ve never played solo as a “guest” before. I wouldn’t say I’m nervous about it, but I really, really don’t want to disappoint the team! I know, I know…what else can I do but my best? You can call me a trivia “ringer” if you like (dream on), I would prefer to think of myself as a triviaphile with “above average” knowledge. I know I’m not the best trivia player out there. But Saturday, I’ll be the best hope that the team I’ll be playing with has to offer. And I really, really hope I don’t disappoint them on their first trip to a finals tournament!

The fact that my husband is coming along with me (he will sit separately and write down all of the questions for me) is…nice! The drive out there won’t be so boring, and…well, he takes better trivia notes than I do! It will just be a bit strange that he won’t be playing with my team. I’m sure there will be plenty of questions I’ll wish he was there to help answer.

For good or for bad? You blog followers will find out how my scrappy team fares! I have to work Sunday morning, so I’ll do my *best* to get the recap posted Saturday, but barring that, look for it Sunday afternoon.
