A few  days  ago  I “challenged”  myself and listened  to  an  entire Christmas  album  by  the  Carpenters. I survived. I decided  I needed a tougher challenge – so I decided  to try watching  10 minutes  of a holiday romance movie. My husband  and I decided  on “Christmas  Belle”  with  Hayley Duff. I cracked  under  the pressure. My husband  went  upstairs  to use  the  John  and had  the  remotes  sitting  next  to  him. I yelled “Help me,” but  he  had  the  exhaust  fan running  and  didn’t  hear my frantic  cries  for  help. The cheesy keyboard  music  sounded like it was being looped. Workaholic  Duff  character  has to meet up with an icy handsome  Scrooge  who  wants  nothing  to  do with her. Dear…lord!

I canceled  my call to a Russian  hit  squad. Now we are watching “Krampus.” All is calm…all is bright…
