Watching  the  1980  movie  Airplane. There  was a romantic  scene  on  a beach that  is  an  obvious  spoof  of  From  Here  to  Eternity. They’re  making  out  on  a beach  when  the tide  rolls in  and  they  get  covered  in  seaweed. Ted informs Elaine that  his orders came  through, and his squadron  will  be  bombing  the storage depot on Daiquiri at a particular  time. Elaine  asked  when  he’d  be  back, and he says, “I can’t  tell  you  that – it’s  classified.” Yet  he revealed  a lot of other information  about  the mission  that  should  be classified. After seejmg this movie countless  times,  I never noticed  this  before.

This  movie  may not  stand  up  to  today’s  PC Police, but I’ll  always love it and uncover  something  new every time I watch it!
