Watching 2009 Star Trek. Kirk just beat Kobayashi  Maru test at the Academy  (by cheating). I played in a solo game at Maplewood Lanes sometime in 2017 using the name Kobayashi Maru, which means “Unwinnable scenario.” I won first. This is  a very competitive  trivia  spot. Substitute  host (Fenders  in Milan was his regular spot) played instrumental  version  of Steppenwolf’s Magic Carpet Ride during final question. I put down “carpet” as my answer which wound up being correct. Hearing  the other teams mutter  among themselves after hearing my team name then hearing  someone go “ahhh” when they figured  out what it meant? Priceless…
