I had a pretty…active day at work today. I work mainly  in  a “behind  the scenes” setting in a department  store, which in today’s  case involved  “bustin’ up the pallets.” Our truck driver was AWOL on Monday, so we were a bit more…populated with pallets of merchandise  in the stockroom this week, as it were.

Today I got to work by myself rather  than with “the team, ” which means  I pretty much got to put my thing down. With little supervision, no micromanaging, and no chit-chat. Down side it was a bit physically  strenuous   (I actually  find physical  labor pretty gratifying  sometimes). Those boxes of liter-sized hair styling products can be quite heavy! And persuading pieces of furniture out of their boxes? Whew!

Today I was  gratified  to hear one of my co-workers, commenting on my…productivity, refer to me as  “Wonder Woman.” Gosh…really?

I kind of liked that!
