Now that the score discrepancies have all been ironed out, the competition is looking kinda feisty at Original Gravity Brewing Co. on Thursday nights! Our team is one of two teams tied for first with 39 league points, Where’s Trey is in third with 36 league points and Big Heads Big Hearts is in fourth with 34 points. Clearly tonight could be a pivotal night. Who will end up on top?

So what’s my battle strategy? Bring a team to help twist the knife in? Nope! I’m going into battle alone tonight! Yes, this could end very, very badly (or it could end really, really well) – as Archie likes to say, “It all comes down to what they ask.” It’s just not a good night to get a team together. My “first mate” is a bit burned out on the trivia scene here and needs a night to just chill,  I kind of need some “just me” time,  Dave can’t make it out, and I don’t feel like trying to beg/borrow any other players. I COULD offer to give Brad a ride to the game, but…as much as I love him like a brother, he can be very ANNOYING in the car! This is something I’ll have to do on my own. After tonight, there are still eight games to go before the venue tournament, which will be the only game that really counts. I’ll certainly take an “all hands on deck” approach to the last deciding game and summon the troops. But for tonight, I’ll see how I do on my own! I’ll have a recap of this game posted on Friday afternoon. Wish me luck! Unless you’re playing against me (but that goes without saying).
