Tonight my trivia team plays its last game of the My Trivia Live season at Powell’s in Ypsilanti, and the new season for this league doesn’t begin until Monday, April 23. Good news is, the trivia “stars” are aligned and the “other” league I play in, Sporcle Live, is also on its “break” until April 23! Other than the championship game this Sunday.
This means I’m pretty much a “free woman!”
What in the WORLD will I do with myself? Well, in addition to writing silly blogs (ahem), and trying to magically summon players to help me in my tournament on Sunday (only have three confirmed players including myself as of now)…think think think. Well, I am going to be hanging out with my mom Tuesday to watch the DVR recording of “Jesus Christ Superstar” featuring John Legend, Alice Cooper and Sara Bareilles. Yes, you read that right, Alice Cooper plays King Herod in this! From what I’ve heard, the cast wears “post-apocalyptic” outfits, too.

Love to hear his take on “King Herod’s Song…” “Prove to me that you’re divine…change my water into wine…”
Musical theater is NOT something I’m going to make my poor husband sit through, lol! He’s been enough of a trouper dealing with my trivia addiction (the poor dear)!
So there’s that. Also, I haven’t seen the Black Panther movie yet, so we might try to see that on Wednesday when ticket prices are kinda cheap. My goal is to see that before the next Deadpool movie comes out. If weather’s good Thursday as predicted, we might check out a trivia game in a small town we like to walk around in before games. Hee hee…”Alan Hale Studios.” Always makes me think of “Gilligan’s Island.” But nothing is etched in stone – and nothing HAS to be!
We also have a cabin trip planned a couple of weekends from now and will be joining a friend and his kid for the festivities. Thankfully we booked SEPARATE cabins for the occasion, but will be sharing a fire pit for the purposes of building a bonfire that will make the gods notice us again. Also, another friend will be getting a couple of puppies soon, so THAT should be entertaining, right? Puppies running around all willy-nilly? Perfectly fine as long as I’m not indoors with them (talk about sneeze-o-rama)…
But to have NO trivia obligations besides the “big game” on Sunday? As James Brown would say…”I feel good!”
