One of my blog followers recently posted a blog about singer Bobby Darin. Did you know he died when he was only 37? I did NOT know that! Learn more about this very talented singer by reading this guy’s blog.

Like Bobby Darin, my father – and grandfather – also had rheumatic fever as babies. My grandfather never fully recovered, and suffered heart complications his whole life – dying during experimental heart surgery at a Detroit hospital in 1954 (he was in his late 30s). My dad fared better than my grandfather – but still has to take antibiotics before every dental procedure (just like Bobby Darin had to do).

Who knew my own family members had something in common with Bobby Darin?
