Recap of this game will be posted no later than Tuesday, March 31.
So every team last night submitted the same newsletter answer last night for this question:
Sunday 3/29 – What is the name of the mineral composed of calcium carbonate and commonly used in building materials and sculpture?
Every team put down “calcite” as their answer, and every team missed out on the two points because he host said she wanted “limestone” for the answer.
Obviously everyone landed on the same answer by doing an Internet search.
Previously when things like this happened at this bar during trivia games, the host would roll with it – and just give credit if the answers were close to correct.
How should players be landing on their answers they don’t know for these “freebies” if not a standard Internet search?!Should we be confirming our answers with hosts before each game?
I know it’s only two points, but it shouldn’t require a scaling of Mount Everest like proportions to get to the damn answer! 😂
