It’s been a struggle not unlike herding cats to get people together for trivia these days. 🙄

I have players with limited availability, players who won’t drive to games, players who have been homebound since starting families in addition to the several that have moved out of state over the past decade.

I’ve even had players make like Russian ballerinas in the movie White Nights and defect to form their own teams! That’s not even mentioning the ones who lose interest or leave on their own, with or without calling me a “f—ing asshole” first 😂

Did I deserve to be called that? Guess it depends upon who you ask. 😉 Truth be told, he and I never got along great, anyway. He even tried to tell my husband to split up with me 😞

Obviously that hasn’t happened.

It’s always more fun and dramatic when they swear at you before leaving, isn’t it? Much better than ghosting ya without any words, right?

I’ve attempted to put all of the unceremonious things I’ve done on past trivia nights behind me. These things involving, mostly, other teams.

It’s been five years since I flipped someone off at a trivia game at McShane’s. I’d like to keep this streak alive 😜

All of this being said (ahem), I’m pleased to announce that I’ll have a threesome for a trivia game tonight! I found a place with decent drink choices and prices to make my husband happy, and also a place my non-driving player can easily get to.

I like having another Tuesday night choice. Tuesday has been a good night for me to go out to games lately, and though I like the McShane’s scene OK, sometimes it is a bit “cliquish” for my tastes. I like being able to see players I’ve never seen before. Breaking the chains of familiarity is a good way to shake up any routine!

As for our music quiz pursuits Monday nights, we remain in second overall, but have closed the gap considerably. Now there are only four points separating us from first place.

I like the music quiz nights, but I also need the general knowledge trivia nights too. I don’t usually feel very useful on music quiz nights! I’m not great at knowing about most current music. By “current” I mean the past 35-40 years 😂

If only they’d ask about shit that I actually know about (lol)! 🎶 🧠
