Trivia plans this week are playing two Sporcle Events games – music quiz Monday at Ypsi’s Corner Brewery, which is our normal trivia night we play each week.

We’ll also play a “bonus” game! 

Corner Brewery trivia nights on Wednesdays used to be our weekly meetup about from 2012 to 2016. Then it became an iccasional spot. Last year, I decided not to try playing any more games here until further notice. Why? We just don’t have enough players to field a team each week. Smaller teams are not always made to feel welcome here.

But when an important event such as Leslie Nielsen’s and Burt Reynolds’ birthday rolls around, wouldn’t you know it, other people want to join me in celebrating their birthdays! And why wouldn’t you?

Leslie Nielsen is not only known for his roles as Frank Drebin in the original Naked Gun movie trilogy, but also as Dr. “Don’t call me Shirley” Rumack in the 1980 cult comedy Airplane!

And Burt Reynolds too? Acting legend! 😁

Hooper, Smokey and the Bandit, Cannonball Run, Boogie Nights Evening Shade, Deliverance…and that’s just off the top of my head!

Seriously, if you haven’t seen Hooper, it’s a good one! Kind of a veiled bio if legendary Hollywood stuntman Hal Needham (who directed the film).

A couple of the ladies on Archer joked about this movie in an off-color way.

Pam: “I’m gonna go home and masturbate while watching Hooper til my fingers bleed.”

Cheryl: Tape them up!
