I recently downloaded the PBS app so that I could watch Ken Burns’ documentary “The American Revolution.”

This morning, I tried starting over the episode I was watching and was given the prompt telling me that I’d have to pony up some dough via a donation to keep watching.

Sure, I “could” afford to give them sixty bucks ($5 per month or $60). Do I want to do that to be able to watch just one miniseries?

Nope!

Maybe if I had kids I’d think differently about this because of PBS’ numerous educational programs.

For now? I’ll look at other ways to watch this series! I’m sure that my local library will get a DVD copy that I can check out to watch for free!

Or I can go to my mom’s and watch on her DVR 😂
