Me and my Miskatonic University Fighting Cephalopods trivia team played 83 total regulation trivia games in 2025 – general knowledge and music quiz games – compared to 51 in 2024.

We also played in four different tournament games winning $0 in prizes at those tournaments.

Hey I’m nothing if not honest!

So far in 2025, we’ve won $755 in prize money at weekly games, compared to $400 (ish) in 2024.

This prize money total does not include music quiz winnings (Kim is the custodian of those prizes and I don’t tend to write recaps of those games). Maybe in  2026 I’ll start tracking those prizes better.

We played a majority of the “regulation” games in the My Trivia Live league. We played one semifinal game and one championship game in that league.

• One game at Red Rock BBQ (Ypsilanti, MI)
• Four virtual trivia games

We also played in two different Sporcle Events Globe Games in 2025 (one virtual and one at Aubree’s in Howell, MI).

What will 2026 be like for my trivia team? We’ll have to consult our magic 8 ball toys to find out (maybe someone will give us one for Christmas)!
