No real changes in trivia plans this week – we’ll do a Sporcle Events  music quiz game Monday at Corner  Brewery in Ypsi, and a virtual Sporcle Events game with some friends Wednesday.

Music Quiz last week was pretty fun! Sure, we blew both final questions, but I still nailed two nerd point questions asking what year Bob Seger’s song “Night Moves” was released – and what year The Cure were inducted into the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame.

I have the 2016 movie Dr. Strange to thank for me knowing the Bob Seger answer! Anyone else remember a scene near the beginning of the movie where he’s doing surgery or something and he mentions the Seger album “Beautiful Loser?” No? That’s OK, because I did – and went into a trivia rabbit hole afterwards looking up that album – and during that process, remembered roughly when that album was released.

Now here’s the good part – the song Night Moves wasn’t even on the album “Beautiful Loser,” but on the aptly named album “Night Moves” about a year later.

Still, my brain somehow managed to think of the right year, even if I was thinking of the “Beautiful Loser” album, not the “Night Moves” album!

When it comes to my brain, it’s like a controversial status update about relationships on social media  – it’s always complicated 😂

As for The Cure question? Just a lucky guess. I just knew it was before 2020, when a couple of my other favorite bands were inducted into the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame (Depeche Mode and NIN). That was a virtual ceremony because of the plague.

So.. what else? oh yes! A live game is coming up soon! Don’t get too excited, it’s a music trivia game under the My Trivia Live banner Thanksgiving week. I know that the “general knowledge” trivia game recaps get more readers than theme trivia games. Unlike the Sporcle Events music quiz games, I CAN do recaps of MTL music games! Easier to do written recaps of those games.

Kim and another friend of mine are meeting up at New Jester’s in Flint again for that. It will be “girls only.” But I’m actually excited about it (IKR)! We only have three confirmed gals so far, I’m hoping that the fourth one I asked says “yes.”

I’m so glad I decided to take a trivia break this month 😩 Next week is gonna be a crazy one for me at work!

Thankfully Thanksgiving week is kind of light this year for me. No crazy early Black Friday shifts this year (I spoke up and they actually listened) 😊 I’m not an early birdie!

I plan to RSVP my team for the Sporcle Globe Games next week. We may be doing something different this time.
