It’s almost like Vecna himself wrote the “Stranger Things” question set that we encountered on a recent Tuesday night!

If you know who Vecna is, you are: #1, possibly a “Stranger Things” fan, or #2, a Dungeons and Dragons player. Or both!

If you do not fall into either group, Vecna is a “legendary, undead, wizard lich of immense power” as described by my husband, who fits into both categories!

In my own words, he’s kind of like the Crypt Keeper in “Tales from the Crypt,” but with absolutely no sense of humor. And no puns!

In short, he’s quite a scary fellow! I really could listen to his voice all day  though (so sexy)! He is the main antagonist in the Netflix series “Stranger Things,” although Steve Harrington season one edition is a close second! And those bully boys whose names we forgot from season one whom Eleven forced to pee their pants would be a distant third in terms of villainy!

Like art imitating life, we were kind of like characters in the series as we attempted to answer the questions! Do you remember what three colors were in Dustin’s trucker cap in season one? If not? To the Upside Down with you! 😂

My husband and I and the wife of the trivia host were the only ones playing in this game! My husband and I separated into two different teams to make things more interesting!

Here were our questions:

2 Summer – What is the name of the science camp that Dustin went to prior to the start of season 3? Miss.

3 Games – In the first episode of season two, the boys are at the arcade when they discover that someone named MADMAX has beaten Dustin’s high scores in two games.

One of those games was Centipede, what was the other game in which Dustin’s high score was beaten by more than 100,000 points?

Yay we actually knew this one!

4 Friends – Who becomes friends with Hopper during his time in Russia and helps break out of the prison camp?

I wagered it all and missed, Mike came up with one correct guess for the things Will said, but he wagered zero so he won game one!

10 Battles – What is the name of the mall that burned to the ground following the kids’ battle with the Mind Flayer? We were close in our guess but nope!

11 Explosions – Which character flips the switches that blow up the Russian machine that was creating a portal to the Upside Down? Yay we got this (we celebrated every little triumph in this tough game)!

12 Hats – The trucker hat worn prominently by Dustin at the beginning of the series is what three colors? I was one off in my guess, Mike was also off in his different guess, so nope for both of us!

14 Characters – What character is revealed to be Vecna late in season four of Stranger Things? Our host was very, very lenient on this one – my guess was “friendly orderly slash number one slash played by Freddy Krueger actor son.” He actually is listed as “friendly orderly” on the imdb site! Had she been more strict though, we would have had to provide his given name. Thanks for the leniency!

15 School – What California school do Eleven and Will attend after moving away from Hawkins? Miss, I guessed “San Dimas High School with Bill and Ted.”

16 Mean People – What are the first names of the two boys who are constantly bullying the main characters in season 1? Miss. I was hoping the question would be about that really mean girl who bullied Eleven at her high school – I remembered that her name was Angela!

We both knew this one, but he wagered nothing and I wagered it all. So I won this game!
