I work in the department store version of what I call “Retailville,” and my job is to unpack merchandise and prep it for transport to the sales floor.

Yes it’s essentially grunt work, but it mostly keeps me away from (shudder) – customers 😩

Also I usually work by my bad self.  A remote in-person job? Kind of!

Lately, I’ve been up to my eyeballs in Christmas merchandise. I am a tall person, so my eyeballs are actually pretty “up there!”

Nutcrackers, gnomes, wreaths, ornaments, Advent calendars, Christmas themed blankets and comforters…

It’s a full frontal assault. So. Much. Holiday. Cheer. 😕

And…Santa figurines small and… large!

I got an idea while unpacking Santa figurines:

“How about a dress-up Santa doll that you can put different outfits on?”

You know – Hawaiian shirts, Mariachi, cowboy, Tarzan, maybe a Daft Punk helmet? 🤔

I pitched the idea to my boss, and she said that she thought it was a fantastic idea!

But what I didn’t tell her was that one of the outfits I had in mind for Santa would definitely put me on the “naughty” list.
