We’ll be playing two more games for this My Trivia Live season – tonight – and next Tuesday.

Well, three really, if we do a game at the Sawmill Saloon in Big Rapids next Thursday. But that game will be off the books (I’ve already used my jail card option for score substitution).

These two games will determine whether we’ll qualify for semifinals – or not. 

I honestly won’t be disappointed if we don’t make it. But I would be very, very disappointed with myself if we didn’t make our best effort to do so.

I am happy with the way my teammates have all pitched in over this past season! Dave not only brings the answers – but also the levity and the laughs. The poor lad has been through quite a lot with the loss of his father over the past few months 😢.

Kim always brings a chill vibe and gives me another gal to talk to – and she can really be a wild card with her answers too! I remember her knowing a tough final q answer that stumped everyone else in the bar – so much so that a couple of teams accused us of cheating!

Her husband Brent also brings a chill vibe and gives my guys a “real guy” to talk to. He also gives Dave someone to share Spaceballs quotes with!

Last but not least I’m thankful for my husband Mike. He is our dutiful “answers guy,” handling the answer sheet and slips. He is also a trusty “arcane knowledge” fellow and although he’s very opinionated, he does know how to crack a funny joke or do a hilarious sendup of a celebrity.

Most importantly, he puts up with my pub trivia obsession!

I’m looking forward to being able to shed this monotonous weekly trivia routine – and being able to fly more casually. My hope is to continue to try dominating our music trivia nights at Corner Brewery every other week. I’d also like to play occasionally at the Water Tower Distilling Company. I still have prize money from that place where we played in June.

Could one more outdoor game at Original Gravity also be possible?

We shall see!

We might also try to do a Corner Brewery trivia night if I can hustle enough players for it. I do like to log at least one score per season there to put our team name on the leaderboard. Is that like a dog pissing on a fire hydrant? Maybe! 🐶

We’re not going to stop playing at McShanes, but we won’t be tied to weekly games there.

I’m liking the sounds of all of this already 😊

Ending the current trivia season by going to a music festival will be icing on the cake! 🍰
