I have been having problems with a sluggish shower drain for a couple of weeks. After realizing that all of the drain cleaners in existence wouldn’t solve the problem, I tried using my drain snake. It didn’t seem to want to go in all of the way. I suspected maybe the drain wasn’t open all of the way.
So I fiddled with my drain stopper handle a bit.
“Huh…,” I said to myself – “It isn’t moving very well, and it probably should – maybe I should fetch some lube.”
I grabbed some WD40, though my husband consulted the Internet later and told me silicone lube might be better.
I squirted some around the lever and a little into the drain.
The drain is working fine now!
Replacing the drain stopper thingie might be on our to-do list, though I really only use my tub for showers, not baths. So I don’t need to close the drain.
Feeling all Ms. Fix-It ish right now!! 😂 🔧
