Trivia next week will be of the “wild card” variety!
We’ll be coming back from a trip Tuesday, so if we get back in time, aren’t too exhausted. And feel like a game? Then Tuesday trivia it shall be!
Otherwise we’ll play Thursday. My work schedule is picking up soon, so in so on some weeks, Tuesday may work better than Thursday.
We’re too “invested” at McShane’s right now, so we’ll continue to play there at least once per week unless we fall out of the top two non-barhop teams and don’t have a chance at semis.
If that happens, all bets are off as to what we’ll do instead!
It’s not too likely I’ll try making a MTL season run after this season is finished. My work life gets a bit too unpredictable toward the end of the year for me to be able to make those kind of commitments.

That is not to say that we won’t continue playing McShanes after this season is done. I like the place, my husband likes the place, Dave and Kim like it, so I’ll take that under consideration!
Trying to dominate a Sporcle Events spot is not in the cards for us. I do want to get back to Water Tower Distilling at some point, that doesn’t look possible until early August.
Those games happen the same nights as musicΒ quiz at Corner Brewery, and I’m far more committed to those than I am to Water Tower. The music quiz games are every other Monday.
How sweet it was to help the younger gals out by acing all three parts of a question involving a song by The Wings! You know – that group Paul McCartney formed after the Beatles with his wife Linda?
We had to name the artist, name the song and for a nerd bonus, had to name the band leader’s spouse’s name.
It was also sweet making the right guess on the final q in game two! They asked which band that was inducted into the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame in 2010 was offered some crazy dollar amount in the billions to get back together – turned it down – and later got back together anyway in 2016?
We were given a choice of four different bands. I chose the best one to “take a chance on!” I remembered that they released a new album quite recently.
It’s those little trivia victories, ya know? π€
The end of this month Kim and I plan to check out a new music trivia show offered by My Trivia Live in Plymouth. Before the plague, we’d play the music trivia games in their league at least once a month or so and enjoyed some occasional success.
It’s a one off deal to start off, but could lead to weekly games! π€
I’m not sure how keen I am on playing more than once a month or so in Plymouth (ugh the street parking)! I ain’t that much of a city girl! π
